That's what I was having trouble with originally. I use an 8BitDo SN30 Pro which can switch from Direct Input to XInput. Some people swear up and down that they can get their controllers fully working under XInput, but personally, I've always had issues. Personally, for this game in particular, I like to use Direct Input controllers instead of XInput. I think MS has an all-in-one driver that can be used for XBO as well as XB360 hardware. I would look at manually uninstalling and reinstalling the XInput driver. Not for this game at least.Ĭontroller works otherwise in other games and on another PC/Console? I'm assuming it's also official and not like a 3rd party or knock off? Keyboard and mouse isn't an option for me and never will be. It sucks because I can play just fine on my other PCs, just not my main one. I've tried searching here as well as BG and whatever else Google has suggested. It is as if whatever FFXI uses to hook input isn't working and it isn't being fixed by a reinstall. I have tried reinstalling FFXI, reinstalling everything I could except for Windows itself. No settings within FFXI make it pick up the inputs, I've toggled every single option. I've also tried ToolsUS/ToolsEU, no luck with either.
